Terra Torn

Overview

In Terra Torn, players awaken to a devastated farm with poisoned soil and a singular surviving fruit tree. Set in a world scarred by conflict, the game challenges players to restore their land while balancing the immediate needs for food against the long-term goal of rejuvenating the earth. This survival farming game merges the harsh realities of post-war recovery with the tranquil satisfaction of nurturing growth, making every decision a test of survival and sustainability.

Goal

The goal of Terra Torn is to manage a farm’s resources effectively to both sustain the player's life and recover the farm’s productivity. Players must make tough choices daily between consuming their limited food for energy or using it to compost and enrich the soil, striving to bring life back to a land ravaged by conflict.

Feature Highlights

• Resource Management: Carefully manage water, seeds, and compost to maximize agricultural output and soil recovery.
• Dynamic Farming System: Engage with a realistic farming cycle involving planting, watering, harvesting, and composting.
• Composting Mechanics: Transform waste into resource-rich compost to detoxify soil and unlock new planting grounds.
• Survival Elements: Monitor and manage hunger and energy levels to maintain the ability to perform farm duties.
• Recovery and Growth: Restore each plot of land through strategic resource allocation and witness the tangible progress of your efforts.
• Procedural Challenges: Adapt to new challenges as the game procedurally generates different scenarios and conditions based on your gameplay (not yet implemented).

Note: Some of these features are very early stages, subject to future iterations.

Controls

• Movement: Navigate using WASD.
• Camera: Zoom using up/down arrow keys and rotate using left/right arrow keys.
• Interaction: Use the mouse to select and interact with crops, tools, and interface elements.
